Two 20ft steel shipping container construction Home conversion

Two 20ft steel standard ISO shipping containers converted into one home and connected in the middle with the center cut out.

This project was completed June 2009.

The unloading of these two units was quite an experience. The back hoe was unable to reach the top of the shipping container in order to lift it off.  So we had to push and slide it off.

The following photos and video will show the step by step process of the construction of this home.

The giant water tank on top was placed there in order to catch the rainwater.
